Tobradex Ophthalmic |
1 Bottle, 2.5ml

Tobramycin 0.3% / Dexamethasone 0.1%, 2.5ml | Antibiotic and Steroid Eye Drops for Eye Infection and Inflammation

What is this medication?

Tobradex Ophthalmic is a combination eye drop that contains tobramycin, an antibiotic, and dexamethasone, a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation.

The antibiotic works by stopping the growth of bacteria that can cause eye infections, while the steroid helps reduce swelling, redness, irritation, and discomfort in the eye.

This combination is used when both inflammation and a bacterial infection (or risk of infection) are present.

This medication may be prescribed for conditions such as:

  • Eye redness, swelling, or irritation

  • Bacterial eye infections

  • Inflammation of the eyelid or surface of the eye

  • Eye injury or irritation where infection risk is present

  • Certain inflammatory eye conditions requiring steroid treatment

Tobradex works by treating the infection while also calming the body’s inflammatory response to help improve symptoms more quickly.

This medication should only be used when prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider.
