Do not take tadalafil if you:
• Take any form of nitrate medication, including nitroglycerin or recreational products containing amyl nitrite or butyl nitrite
• Take guanylate cyclase stimulators such as riociguat
• Have a known serious allergy to tadalafil
• Have been advised by your healthcare provider to avoid sexual activity due to cardiovascular risk
Before starting tadalafil, inform your provider if you have heart disease, low or uncontrolled high blood pressure, liver or kidney disease, history of vision or hearing problems, blood cell disorders, stomach ulcers, bleeding disorders, penile deformity, or a history of prolonged erections.
Tadalafil may interact with alpha blockers, blood pressure medications, antifungals, certain antibiotics, HIV protease inhibitors, and other erectile dysfunction treatments. Substantial alcohol use may increase the risk of dizziness or low blood pressure.
This medication is not indicated for use in women and has not been established as safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
