Progesterone | Compounded Oral Capsule
Important Safety Information: Progesterone | Compounded Oral Capsule
Progesterone is a hormone your body naturally makes to help regulate your period, support a healthy uterus, and keep estrogen levels balanced. As you move through perimenopause and menopause, progesterone levels can drop. This shift may lead to irregular cycles, trouble sleeping, mood swings, or simply not feeling like yourself.
When used as part of hormone replacement therapy, progesterone is often paired with estrogen to help protect the lining of the uterus in women who still have one. Your treatment plan is personalized based on your symptoms, health history, and lab results. Your Superior provider will determine the right type, dose, and duration of therapy and will monitor you to ensure it continues to be appropriate and well tolerated.
This product may be dispensed as either an FDA-approved commercial medication or a compounded formulation prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy. What is this?
This Important Safety Information summarizes key warnings and precautions for Progesterone 100mg Sustained-Release (SR) Capsule, a compounded oral hormone therapy used in women’s hormone replacement therapy (HRT). It may be prescribed to lower the chance of endometrial changes in postmenopausal individuals receiving estrogen therapy or to treat certain menstrual irregularities. This compounded formulation has not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safety or efficacy and should only be used exactly as directed by a licensed healthcare provider.
